Hello, I’m Frank DeCaria. This is my blog about art: my art and art in general. We live in the post-modern world, and it is full of art. And if you believe some, every piece of art created today is meaningful. I don’t really believe that statement: that everything “artistically” created is meaningful, but some post-modern thinkers do. I do believe that art in general is meaningful, but not everything created.
We live in a busy world. Humans are making art. Computer programs are making are. Animals are making art. There is “found art” that some interpret as such. Art can be made out of anything by anyone. The list goes on and on.
So what is art? Art critics don’t seem to know today. So they don’t point out “good” and “bad” examples of art, but rather they simply just talk about the “art” that “artist” call “art.”
Of course, today everyone’s an expert about everything. So everyone everywhere has an opinion about what is “good” or “bad” art. Just ask the next person you happen to be standing by at the supermarket what he or she thinks is great art today.
The following is a piece of “art” I created. I’ll let you tell me if it is any good.
